How Does it Work?
During decompression therapy, pressure is removed from the discs, allowing fluids, nutrients, and oxygen to flow back into the disc. By reducing the pressure on the discs, a bulging or herniated disc is able to retract and pressure is relieved from the nerves. The nutrients flowing back into the disc can stop disc degeneration and actually heal tears in the disc's annulus, or a ring-shaped part of the disc that acts like a hydraulic seal for the inner-disc area.
